Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Machine Technician to join our manufacturing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for heavy industrial machinery setup, changeover, and precision measurements to ensure optimal production efficiency. Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems is desired, however, not required, to support our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate is proactive, safety-conscious, and possesses a strong technical background with experience in industrial machinery and production support. Duties
- Operate industrial machinery precisely, ensuring proper setup, operation as measured with a dial indicator.
- Unload and reload production products to prevent cross-product lot mixing.
- Unload and reload Rollermic equipment while preventing size mixing.
- Clean heavy industrial machinery and precision miniature steel balls while adhering to safety protocols.
- Operate floor cleaning equipment, including buffers and automatic floor scrubbers.
- Ability to lift 10-35 pounds regularly.
- Capability to push loads weighing up to 300 pounds using a hand truck.
- Skill to safely operate a forklift (training available).
Experience
- Knowledge of a manufacturing environment with an interest in heavy machinery operation and maintenance.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments like dial indicators and calipers.
- Curiosity about industrial maintenance practices and desire to gain skills for diagnosing complex manufacturing issues efficiently.
