Position Overview:
Lead in month end closing activities and year end closing. Lead the year-end financial audit and bank audits. Responsible for preparing and analyzing more complex account reconciliations. Maintain, reconcile, and review monthly financial statements. Assist financial leadership in high level analysis. Must be able to manage competing priorities. Complete special projects assigned by management.
Primary Responsibilities & Duties:
- Prepare monthly journal entries, complete general ledger reconciliations to support month end closing processes for various entities. This includes close coordination with plant controllers, accountants, and finance partners.
- Perform account reconciliations and analysis, including the ability to identify, research and correct discrepancies.
- Review financial statements - balance sheet, income statement and cash flow.
- Integral team lead in facilitating an accurate and timely completion of month end and year end reporting.
- Support the annual external audits by taking a lead ensuring supporting schedules and necessary documentation are prepared and uploaded in a timely basis.
- Oversee the management of fixed assets including Construction in Process and a liaison for Mexico.
- Review, analyze and discern whether the support for addback expenses is sufficient and acceptable to the credit agreement
- Financial leader/representative for accounting related projects
- Provide oversight to business groups Mexico financials
- Financial liaison support for Plant Controllers
- Assists Finance with AOP to Actual Variance
- Super-user for SAP General Ledger
- Research, recommend and assist in the implementation of ongoing process improvements to financial reporting and controls.
- Assist Accounting Manager with audit related issues and projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required including assisting with finance organizational initiatives and act as backup roles for other accounting responsibilities
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- MBA and/or CPA preferred
- 5 years of experience in all aspects of Accounting
- Public Accounting experience is a plus
- Manufacturing background is a plus

- Must possess analytical and problem-solving
- Ability to effectively handle multiple projects concurrently.
- Accurate and detail oriented in all work
- Good working knowledge of Accounting software
- Excellent Windows-based spreadsheets/word processing packages.
