Maintenance III Mechanic (26944)

POSITION SUMMARY: Position will be responsible for fulfilling the responsibilities and duties of a Maintenance III Mechanic. The position will support all employees in maintenance/field operations and use all of Nelson Brother’s equipment. The position will require work order preparation. Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the company as needed.

Responsibilities

• Able to perform all duties of Maintenance I and Maintenance II Mechanic
• Chassis- mentor maintenance I and II mechanics
• Service air brakes systems
• Perform preventive maintenance on all types of equipment.
• Bulk Beds and Transport Trailer equipment
• Advanced trouble shooting and repair of
• Auger systems
• Electrical systems
• Hydraulic systems
• Fuel systems
• Emulsion systems
• Water systems
• Bed to chassis interface
• Full understanding of operation and ability to train operators
• Basic Fabrication Ability
• Welding with stick and MIG, all position and leak proof
• Welding repairs of existing equipment in place in the field
• Ability to make basic drawings and sketches
• Interpretation and application of MSHA, DOT, and OSHA regulations
• Help to monitor others as to compliance

• Willing to travel on short notice
• Willing to work overtime on short notice
• Willing to do tasks outside of those specified to meets the needs of the company

Education/Experience

• High School Graduate or equivalent
• Good Communicator with verbal and written skills
• Basic computer skills
• Customer Service experience required or like
• Any ASE certification is a plus
