Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly with enthusiasm and professionalism, setting a positive tone for their visit
• Manage restaurant reservation systems and walk-in seating to optimize table utilization and minimize wait times
• Answer incoming phone calls with courteous phone etiquette, providing accurate information and taking reservations when needed
• Coordinate with the service team to ensure timely seating and efficient guest flow throughout the dining area
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station, including menus, reservation logs, and waiting lists
• Assist with guest inquiries regarding menu items, restaurant policies, or special requests using excellent communication skills
• Support food safety standards by adhering to hygiene protocols and ensuring a welcoming environment at all times

Experience

• Previous experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs professionally and courteously
• Familiarity with restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
• Experience in food service or hospitality roles that involve guest relations and serving is beneficial
• Basic math skills for managing reservations, waitlists, and billing processes accurately
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods
• Knowledge of phone communication best practices and maintaining positive guest interactions over the phone
