About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Entry-Level Electrical Engineer to join our automation and controls engineering team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career engineer who is eager to be challenged, learn continuously, and contribute to the design and integration of industrial automation systems.
You will work with PLC, HMI, and SCADA technologies, primarily Rockwell Automation and Siemens, and gain exposure to motion control, servo systems, and industrial networks. This position offers opportunities to collaborate on real-world projects across manufacturing and process industries, both domestically and occasionally internationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, programming, testing, and commissioning of PLC and HMI systems.
- Support the development of SCADA and data acquisition systems for automated processes.
- Prepare and revise electrical schematics, panel layouts, and documentation using AutoCAD.
- Perform system troubleshooting, I/O checkout, and commissioning in collaboration with senior engineers.
- Participate in on-site start-ups at customer facilities within the U.S. and abroad.
- Ensure all designs and installations comply with U.S. electrical and safety standards (NEC, NFPA 79, UL).
- Maintain clear communication and coordination with customers, project managers, and internal teams.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Systems, or a closely related field.
Technical Skills:
- Foundational experience in PLC programming (Rockwell Studio 5000 / Siemens TIA Portal).
- Familiarity with HMI and SCADA development (FactoryTalk View, WinCC, Ignition, or equivalent).
- Understanding of motion control, VFDs, and servo technologies.
- Basic proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent CAD software.
- Working knowledge of industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus).
- Awareness of U.S. electrical codes and machine safety standards.
