Position Summary

Neill Aircraft Company is seeking a detail-oriented Assembler to join our aerospace manufacturing team. This position is responsible for assembling precision aerospace components by following engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, enjoys hands-on-work, and is committed to producing high-quality products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assemble aerospace components by following work instructions, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
• Drill, trim, fasten, bond, seal, and install components using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment.
• Position, align, and fit parts using measuring tools, jigs, fixtures, and shop aids to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Set up and operate assembly equipment while following established manufacturing procedures.
• Verify that the correct materials, parts, and previous operations have been completed before beginning work.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and other manufacturing documentation.
• Record labor and production activity using the company's manufacturing system.
• Follow all quality standards, FOD prevention practices, and workplace safety procedures.
• Assist with moving materials, basic equipment maintenance, and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while meeting quality and productivity expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous aerospace, sheet metal, manufacturing, or mechanical assembly experience preferred.
• Have prior experience with AS9100 standards or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read basic blueprints and work order instructions.
• Experience using hand, power, and measuring tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, frequently use hands and arms to handle tools and materials, and perform repetitive assembly tasks with precision. Employees must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds regularly. The role also requires close visual attention, depth perception, and the ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced production environment.
