Key Responsibilities
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment where children feel safe and engaged.
- Develop lesson plans, including clubs, outdoor recreation and community service, that support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Collaborate with your teaching team to implement the lesson plans and enrichment activities.
- Supervise and interact with children during classroom activities, outdoor play, field trip and community service projects.
- Use assessments to track each child's progress and ensure they are all completed on time and to fidelity.
- Serve as the main point of contact for parent communication; providing positive feedback, addressing concerns and ensuring all incident reports are completed and signed.
- Hold weekly meetings with your team to discuss classroom plans, concerns, and foster teamwork amongst your team.
- Ensure all tasks are completed by using accountability methods amongst the team.
- Support day-to-day team coordination by communicating expectations, modeling professional conduct, helping onboard new team members, and escalating classroom or parent concerns to the School Age Program Manager when needed.
- Ensure safety and proper group management using positive behavior techniques.
- Transport children safely using a 15-passenger van to and from school and during field trips.

- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children ages 5-12 in an afterschool program environment or equivalent experience; prior experience leading a classroom, coordinating activities, mentoring staff, or communicating with families is preferred.
- High-energy, responsible, and passionate about working with children.
- First Aid & CPR Certifi
- Valid Utah Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Food Handler's Permit
- Ability to pass Child Care Licensing background check and drug test.
- Fluent in English (Spanish bilingual preferred).
- **Regular full-time shift or split shift available requiring**, before school hours and then afterschool hours.
- **Competitive Pay:** $18.00 $21.00 per hour, DOE.
