Essential Functions Include But Are Not Limited To
- Work independently onsite in office at Sioux Falls, SD
- Self Starter
- Travel occasionally
- Be a problem solver/find solutions and direct staff members in how to improve or resolve those areas
- Have strong attention to detail
- Experienced in Dentrix Ascend and/or Dental Billing
- Review insurance aging and adjudicate claims
- Enter all insurance ACH payments and paper checks.
- Work with insurance companies on any issues that arise with payments (paying incorrectly, overpayments), credentialing, etc.
- Investigate and understand insurance networks, carriers, and third-party administrators
- Keep the total AR under 1 month worth of production
- Working the Collections Manager on a weekly basis, including:
- Statements
- Complete Month End process
- Assist in tracking and balancing daily accounts receivable
- Review and audit account ledgers and request refunds as appropriate
- Understand and develop financial policies and procedures
- Utilize, develop, and train on existing financial tools such as Care Credit
- Analyzing adjustments and understand utilization
- Strategizing to decrease overall adjustments
- MUST HAVE Knowledge, experience and understanding of the dental billing process!
- Dentrix Ascend knowledge (preferred).
- Ability to organize and prioritize work and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including, letters, memos and emails.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to research and analyze data.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with providers, management, staff, and contacts outside the organization.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access) and internet resources.
