Job Summary

Management Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall direction of all manufacturing and customer service functions.
- Responsible for management of capital assets, plant, machinery, and inventory.
- Responsible for managing all plant costs within company budgets.
- Establishes plant policies and procedures.
- Directs and co-ordinates material management, production operations and process
- improvement on a day-to-day basis.
- Manage systems and procedures for operational cost and usage controls.
- Works closely with sales and customers to facilitate technical information interface.
- Establishes process costing.
- Assists engineering with new product development.
- Monitors and analyzes manufacturing costs.
- Performs special tasks for Corporate as required.
- Manage physical inventory of materials and components, as well as the best utilization
- of materials.
- Develop and execute Production Plan as part of Nefab’ s annual Business Planning
- Develop and update production forecasts based on the input from sales forecasts on
- an ongoing basis in line with Nefab’ s planning/rolling forecast system.
- Coordinate month-end physical inventory count (Raw, WIP, FG):
- Counting and reporting
- Monitors monthly usage and waste reports
- Troubleshooting and variance analysis
- Lead and compile the company’s forecasting (annual and rolling 4Q) as part of the
- corporate planning cycle.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts at our existing facilities, including but not limited to Kaizen events, 6-S events, 5s, Cost Reduction initiatives, and Business
- Improvement planning/development.
- Map current flows and continuously evaluate and implement flow improvements with
- the Production Manager
- Initiate and coordinate major projects – plant layout changes, installation of capital
- equipment, addition of new manufacturing and converting capabilities, major repairs,
- Define a reporting system to track successes and improvements needed in this area
- Oversee the development, implementation, certification process, and maintenance of the ISO 9001 and 14001 Quality Programs
- Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted by external providers, as well as
- evaluate their findings and implement appropriate corrective actions
- Identify training needs within our South East organization
- Keep current on information and technology affecting functional areas to increase
- innovation and ensure compliance.
- Continuously improve Nefab’s costing and pricing systems.
- Company goals and objectives, as defined from time to time.
- Develop and manage the human resources according to company policies and
- guidelines in Nefab’ s ISO procedures.
- Balance the human resources with the capacity needs to fulfill market demand.
- Responsible for building security.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, logistics, Supply Chain or similar
- 15 years of experience in manufacturing management, preferably in a process-oriented operation and/or related industry
- Experience developing and implementing a QMS as well participating in or leading ISO audits
- Experience working with Lean Manufacturing strategies, Quality Management tools and methodologies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, warehouse management systems, database systems
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex legal and financial documents
- Ability to be able to communicate clearly and effectively to all employees, customer, and vendors
- Ability to be able to make effective persuasive presentations
- Strong planning, project management, problem solving techniques and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, and comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization, customers, and vendors
- Strategic thinker, strong team player and team builder who has a can-do attitude and have a hands-on, take-ownership personality

- The General Manager’s role has cyclical stress due to frequent goals and deadlines and daily stress due to the responsibility associated with the incumbents’ decisions, outcomes, and potential outcomes. The incumbent is faced with constant interruptions and frequently meets with others.

Management Responsibilities
