This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver custom packaging solutions that meet the customer's needs.

- Identify and research potential new clients through market research, cold outreach, referrals, and digital tools.
- Discover and evaluate new market segments or industries aligned with the company’s product offering.
- Initiate contact with new clients and build a pipeline of qualified leads to support consistent sales growth.
- Schedule and conduct introductory meetings with prospective customers to present company offerings and solutions.
- Identify and connect with the appropriate point of contact or purchasing authority within the organization.
- Obtain and manage Requests for Quotes (RFQs) or proposals, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Recommend and evaluate relevant trade shows, expos, and industry events to attend for lead generation and brand exposure.
- Collaborate with leadership to prioritize industries or regions for growth.
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop sales tools and strategies for new industries.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records regarding leads, opportunities, and client communications.
- Provide regular updates on pipeline status, key wins, and upcoming opportunities.
- Track performance metrics and contribute to forecasting and business planning efforts.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain management, sales, or related field
- Five or more years of business development experience
- Technical sales experience is a plus
- A high level of knowledge or experience with some of the non-automotive/industrial sectors
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong sales and negotiation skills
- A proven track record of building new relationships and closing opportunities with new customers
- Proven track record of building new relationships and achieving sales goals
- Excellent communication, presentation, and organization skills
- Industrial, Agricultural, Heavy Equipment and Healthcare segment experience is highly desirable.
- Experience with plastics packaging & blueprint reading is a plus.
