Traffic Engineer

HUNTSVILLE, AL

Do you have project related experience with traffic signal design plans, signal timing, corridor studies, traffic impact studies, traffic operation studies, traffic control plans, traffic simulation modeling, roundabout studies, and safety studies AND a working knowledge of the latest traffic engineering and simulation programs such as HCS, Synchro, PTV Vistro/Vissim and SIDRA?

Minimum Requirements

• BSCE from an ABET – accredited university.
• Licensed professional registration in Alabama or Tennessee or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE), preferred.
• 5 years of experience with progressive traffic/transportation experience.
  
  

Ideal Candidate Will Possess The Following

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to manage AND assist in the production of design deliverables.
• Proficiency with MicroStation, GIS data visualization or equivalent design platforms.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to plan and conceptualize.
