We are seeking Tower Technician Leads to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a strong telecommunications background, a commitment to safety, a keen eye for detail, pride in workmanship and an excellent ability to work in a team environment. As a Tower Technician Lead, you will assist the foreman in overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunications sites and related equipment, ensuring projects are completed on time, and to the highest standards.

Competencies
- Safe climbing and industry rigging operations
- Safely climb required structures with industry-approved safety equipment
- Monitors and aids in Tech Apprentice safe climbing and positioning
- Perform safe rigging operations utilizing industry best practices and standards
- Follows on-site rigging plans and communicates deviations from rigging plans
- Observes and reports site/tower hazards and structure concerns
- Rigging/signaling best practices and components
- Expert in capstan hoist operations and setup, signaling and communicating hoisting/lower operations

- RF and steel installation/modification
- Competent in carrier requirements
- Experience in various structure upgrades and their associated components

- Installs RF/steel to project docs and industry standards with a high level of quality
- Works with Foreman to install RF/steel to project documents
- Aids in problem solving tower top discrepancies
- Trains Tech Apprentices on RF and steel install best practices.
- Experienced in mount modification, RF testing and proficient in closeout requirements
- Assist Foreman with sweep, PIM, fiber testing, setting RET’s, operating azimuth tools (preferred, not required)
- Competent in obtaining tower top RF closeout required photos and azimuths, obtaining tower owner required photos.

- Ability to interpret and build to project documentation
- Understanding construction drawings, RFDS, Mount Analysis, carrier-specific photo checklists, plumbing diagrams, tower owner photo checklists
- Daily JHA paperwork
- Site-specific rigging plans
- Equipment inspection forms
- Vehicle/Truck - ability to perform truck and trailer maneuvers, ensure truck is prepared for daily tasks
- Site cleanliness and organization
- Supports company safety program and structures
- 2 years minimum of industry climbing experience (2 years or experience preferred, not required)
- Reliable transportation
- Valid drivers license
- Background check followed by review
- Drug screening and physical followed by passing background check

Position requires the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and lift body weight, PPE, equipment, tools and/or boxes. You must be able to safely perform the following types of activities daily as a part of your regular duty position.
