NEC Group, LLC is an independent provider of electrical services serving the telecommunications, cellular, electrical vehicle charging and utility markets. Services include installation, retrofit, maintenance, repair and decommissioning of critical electrical infrastructure. NEC is headquartered in Kingston, MA, with three additional facilities in Massachusetts, Connecticut and New Hampshire.
Based in our Holbrook location, we are searching for a Project Administrator who will be responsible for performing administrative tasks to support not only project managers (PM) and construction managers (CM), but all levels of office personnel whenever necessary. Maintaining strong communication skills with all members of staff is expected to understand goals and facilitate success within the position. This is a hybrid position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Obtain certificates of insurance and maintain the certificates that are necessary to remain active.
- Assist in obtaining and closing electrical and building permits for all applicable sites; maintain the building permit tracking system.
- Maintain job files and folders; initiate creation and obtain relevant docs to support JHA; create crew field file folders weekly and distribute them to crew foremen; break down folders at project completion.
- Maintain office supplies and bring needs to the attention of Office Manager.
- Liaison between warehouse personnel, PMs & CMs to the Purchasing Agent for material needs when necessary and any support required daily.
- Assist with closeout packages, process, and analyze field-provided photos, test results, and as-built drawings as well as complete informational forms, utilizing photo resizing software, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, .pdf processing software, and various sweep and fiber test processing software.
- Review the client deliverables for accuracy of installation, by comparing them to client- provided build documents: i.e., Construction Drawings, RFDS, Structural and Mount Analysis/Modification documents.
- Provide superior customer service ensuring all essential job functions are performed in a timely, efficient, accurate and safe manner.
- Communicate effectively with supervisor and co-workers, including all levels of management when required; utilize Microsoft Outlook for email, Microsoft TEAMS for collaboration, and verbally, throughout each day.
- Perform other administrative-related duties, as may be assigned by NEC leadership.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Experience using Microsoft Office with emphasis on Microsoft Excel and Word, and Microsoft Outlook
- Experience using Adobe Acrobat Reader and Writer or another comparable, .pdf software program
- Ability to communicate effectively using both verbal and written platforms with co-workers.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
- Must have excellent attention to detail.
