What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bowling Coach position at Nebraska State College System?
Nature of Work
Will organize and administer all aspects of the College’s bowling program, including but not limited to management and development of all aspects of a collegiate program: coaching, recruiting, scouting, scheduling, budget and scholarship management, supervision of assistant/student coaches, academic monitoring, development of team policies and procedures, development and implementation of off-season conditioning, knowledge of and adherence to college, conference, and NAIA rules and regulations, as well as marketing and fund-raising for the program.
Examples of Work Performed
1. Scheduling of practice times and facilities in conjunction with Athletic Director to develop the team’s greatest potential
2. Adherence to department budget and scholarship management
3. Supervision of assistant and student coaches and all phases of team in the program
4. Academic monitoring
5. Develop and implement team policies and procedures
6. Off-season conditioning
7. Teach in the Physical Education/Sports Management programs as needed
8. Recruiting and scouting and work with Admissions staff in student athlete recruiting efforts
9. Communication and enforcement of College, conference and NAIA rules and regulations to team as well as adherence to rules/regulations in use of state-owned vehicles
10. Monitor eligibility program, and complete requisite eligibility paperwork
11. Fundraising for program
12. Ensure student athletes have complete eligibility forms and physical forms; ensure proof of insurance, parent consent forms and medical history forms for student athletes are current
13. Make arrangements and ensure insurance requirements are in place for team trips
14. Other duties as assigned

Bachelor’s degree required
Proven managerial and fiscal skills required.

Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree preferred.
Previous head coaching experience at the college and/or high school level is preferred as well as previous bowling coaching experience.
Experience with collegiate-level recruitment preferred.
