Job Summary
Beatrice Sand & Gravel is looking for a high performing, reliable, and motivated Sales and Dispatch Coordinator to join our team! This position, under general supervision, plans, organizes and coordinates company trucks, submits quotes to customers, assists with safety policies and plans, complying with Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) standards, and work with vendors and suppliers as needed. On-call for emergency situations and must be within 30 minutes of the operation. Must abide by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely. Consistent and reliable attendance is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Oversees dispatching activities associated with the Company-Owned and 3rd party aggregate haulers to assure the demands and services are met.
Oversees and follow in-cab camera policy that applies to all CDL vehicles along with weekly coaching for all company CDL drivers.
Assists with developing safety polices and safety plans. Coordinates development of policies and plans with supervisors and manager. Oversees execution of program policies.
Becomes familiar with and understands MSHA regulations. Manages MSHA safety plan, records, and submittals. Identifies hazards and controls risks by actively managing risks by ensuring that all related control activities are implemented thoroughly. Inspects and monitors facilities and equipment for MSHA regulatory compliance and manages MSHA safety plan, records, and submittals. Works with MSHA inspectors during inspections and audits.
Oversees the Stormwater and Spill Prevention Plans for multiple sites. Investigate complaints and provide environmental compliance advice related to stormwater problems. Performs inspections and monitoring to determine compliance with air quality, wastewater and storm water regulations.
Coordinates required permits and assure they are done according to standards or needs. Develops schedules and processes for permit applications.
Works with contractors and engineers on coordination of designs and submittals to applicable agencies and works with local vendors and subcontractors.
Ensures conformance with policies and procedures, safety codes and local, State and Federal laws. Assure contract documents are reviewed and applied as needed. File and monitor permit documents.
Reviews and documents monthly production and inventories. Analyzes plant performance and evaluate modifications and improvements to increase efficiencies and reduce costs.
Creates accurate bids and proposals according to company pricing strategies.
Works with customers on needed aggregates and submits quotes.
Works closely with NEBCO credit personnel regarding new accounts and accounts receivable. May be responsible for debt collection when needed.
Reviews and develops marketing and sales plans to identify opportunities to increase value. Identifies, prospects, and prioritizes potential customer and market growth opportunities.
Assists with finding new ground for reserves.
Assists with remote ticketing at various mine sites.
Maintains DOT compliance and reporting records.
Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises Sand & Gravel Truck and Pup drivers. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or Experience:
Candidate is required to meet the above qualifications. Approval of pre-employment reference, background checks and post offer substance testing are required as conditions of employment.

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field; and
- 1 year experience in construction, skilled trades or maintenance; or
- an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid NE drivers’ license and be insurable under the company’s insurance program.
- Knowledge of construction and building equipment, materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings, plants or other structures.
- Ability to read blueprints, and diagrams.
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cost control, cost reporting and project schedule management.
- Previous administrative skills and inventory management experience are very important.
- Must be willing to assure the administrative support responsibilities are met for the operation.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be a self-starter.
- Must have good troubleshooting skills and a high degree of attention to detail.
- Must have knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
