Responsibilities:
- Perform financial counseling with patients.
- Outline patient benefit details using patient brochures.
- Explain patient deductible, co-insurance, copay, and out-of-pocket costs for the calendar year.
- Clarify responsibilities for bundled and unbundled services.
- Complete Billing Episodes accurately.
- Create flags for patient responsibility to be collected at each visit
- Eligibility Checks
- Verify active insurance coverage and status.
- Determine if coverage is traditional Medicaid, Medicaid MCO, Medicare, Medicare Advantage, or Commercial.
- Identify primary and secondary plans.
- Ensure accuracy of Billing Episodes.
- Perform financial counseling with patients as needed for any updates.
- Outline patient benefit details using patient brochures.
- Explain patient deductible, co-insurance, copay, and out-of-pocket costs for the calendar year.
- Clarify responsibilities for bundled and unbundled services.
- Onsite
- Must have 5 years healthcare patient access experience
