Onsite 5 days, no remote
2nd shift: 2PM – 10:30PM
Technician will be working on Internal Combustion Engine Emissions testing equipment, mostly focused on the calibration and maintenance of this equipment.
Technician will be working on Internal Combustion Engine Emissions testing equipment, mostly focused on calibration and maintenance. Experience with EPA 1065, 1066, Euro certification, or gas analysis is preferred.
Purpose of this team – maintenance team for the test lab in Pontiac, a lot of troubleshooting diagnostic work replacing failed things in the test system, familiar with calibrated equipment but not actually doing the calibration. Take out the piece that needs calibration, put in a new one. Related to vehicle engine and emission testing, keep all the test systems working.
Doing preventative maintenance, test cells, troubleshooting, calibration, equipment they will be working on will be emission analyzers FTIR’s, vehicle gas emissions, emission equipment is from AVL , EPA 1065 1066 certification testing will use similar equipment that they will use in this position (if someone has done this type of testing they may be familiar with the equipment)
Interaction level with the team – emissions team is around 7-8 people, mostly working with 1-2 other people doing troubleshooting and diagnostics
Work environment – test lab, inside, climate controlled, will have to complete a safety training
Required Degree – High School Diploma
Prefer technical degree (example - engineering)
Years of experience – At least 2-4 years’ experience
This is an emissions focused position – anyone with good experience in this space is going to be the top candidate but it is not a requirement
EPA preferred – not a hard requirement

Would like someone with lab exposure
A lot of troubleshooting activities
Pay: $21.00 per hour
