Job Overview:
Under the guidance of the Director of Manufacturing, the Production Manager Directs and coordinates activities related to production of company products personally or through subordinate supervisors.
Responsibilities:
Confers with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards, develop budget and cost controls, and to obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered.
· Plans and directs production activities as per production scheduling, and establishes production priorities for effective operations and control of cost factors.
·Promotes and enforces all company safety policies, practices and goals.
Coordinates production activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines and equipment.
· Reviews and analyzes production reports to identify root causes of ineffective operational activities for the purpose of continuous improvement.
· Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems to reduce operating cost through improved machine availability, improved molding cycle times and reduced product reject rate.
Redirects production activities based on operational constraints.
· Consults with engineering for equipment upgrades for performance improvements.
· Conducts meetings to resolve personnel issues.
Position Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis in Business Administration or Engineering
Experience: Five (5) years of manufacturing and business experience
· Minimum of two (2) years of managerial position.
· Lean Manufacturing experience a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· This function requires comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing practices, especially in plastics injection molding.
· Leadership skills are essential to deal with people’s issues.
· Ability to comply and operate within budgetary constraints is needed.
· Computer literacy is essential.
· Strong interpersonal and motivational skills are required.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Significant analytical and problem solving skills

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
