JOB SUMMARY: The Mail Services Coordinator manages the daily operations of campus mail and package services at NDSCS, ensuring accurate and timely distribution of incoming and outgoing mail while maintaining compliance with USPS regulations and institutional policies.
This position coordinates multi-carrier logistics (USPS, UPS, FedEx, and others), operates mail processing equipment, maintains accurate tracking records, and provides excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and external carriers.
The Coordinator also supports bookstore operations and works closely with campus departments and bookstore leadership to deliver reliable services that meet the academic and operational needs of the campus community.
Minimum Requirements
- Associate degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Retail Management, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet institutional driving requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other standard business software applications.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while also contributing effectively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two (2) or more years of experience in mail services, shipping and receiving, or package handling operations
- Two (2) or more years of retail or college bookstore experience
- Working knowledge of USPS regulations and multi-carrier shipping procedures (UPS, FedEx, USPS, and others)
- Experience operating mail processing equipment (postage meters, scales, package tracking systems)
- Experience in higher education or institutional mail services setting
- Familiarity with package tracking/management software
Additional Information
SALARY: $36,000-$41,000 - commensurate with education and experience
