Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team in delivering exceptional cleanliness and sanitation standards across our hotel property. This pivotal role involves overseeing daily cleaning operations, managing cleaning staff, maintaining safety protocols, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests. Duties

• Supervise and coordinate all housekeeping activities to ensure high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety are maintained throughout the hotel.
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules, procedures, and quality control measures aligned with industry best practices.
• Train, motivate, and evaluate housekeeping staff to ensure consistent performance and professional growth.
• Oversee the proper handling of chemical agents used in cleaning processes, ensuring compliance with safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, including vacuuming tools, floor care machinery, and industrial cleaning devices.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, laundry facilities, and back-of-house spaces to uphold sanitation standards.
• Enforce hotel emergency procedures related to safety, sanitation incidents, or hazardous material handling.
• Ensure adherence to health regulations and safety guidelines related to custodial work, heavy lifting, manual handling, and industrial cleaning tasks.
• Collaborate with other departments to address guest requests promptly while maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Maintain detailed records of sanitation activities, incident reports, safety data sheets (SDS), and staff schedules.

Experience

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or custodial roles within hospitality environments.
• Extensive knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, floor care maintenance, and the use of various cleaning equipment.
• Familiarity with chemical agent handling, safety data sheets (SDS), and industrial cleaning procedures.
• Strong leadership skills with previous experience supervising housekeeping teams or custodial staff.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely while maintaining efficiency.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating a welcoming environment for guests.
• Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols related to sanitation hazards or chemical spills.
• Prior experience managing inventory of cleaning supplies and coordinating with vendors for procurement needs.
