Residential Manager

Life Skills and Transition Center (LSTC) is seeking a Residential Manager in Grafton, North Dakota.

The Life Skills and Transition Center (LSTC) is looking for a dependable, hands-on leader to help create a safe, supportive, structured, and person-centered environment for the people who call LSTC home.

As a Residential Manager, you will play an important role in helping North Dakota become the healthiest state in the nation by ensuring some of our state's most vulnerable citizens receive the quality care, support, and opportunities they need to live meaningful and fulfilling lives.

A large part of this role is supervising, supporting and developing our Direct Support Professionals. You will work alongside staff to make sure they have the training, guidance, resources, and support they need to feel confident in their roles and provide consistent, high-quality, person-centered care.

In this position, you will supervise, lead, coach, and mentor Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), creating a team environment built on communication, consistency, teamwork, and accountability. You will provide hands-on guidance to staff as they follow individual support plans, procedures, documentation requirements, and respond to the changing needs of the people they support. You will review documentation and complete audits to ensure information is accurate, complete, and submitted on time, following up with staff when concerns or opportunities for improvement are identified.

You will spend time in living and work environments to ensure services are safe, therapeutic, and centered around each person's individual needs. You will encourage staff to promote choice, independence, dignity, and active participation for the people we support. You will also monitor staffing levels, help problem-solve coverage needs, and step in to provide additional support when unexpected situations or challenges arise. Throughout your day, you will communicate and collaborate with members of the support team and assist with meetings, scheduling, and other operational needs to help ensure consistent, high-quality support.

To thrive in this position, you should be a hands-on leader who builds strong relationships, communicates clearly, and leads by example. You will need to be organized and flexible, comfortable supervising, providing constructive feedback and having difficult conversations professionally, holding staff accountable, and able to remain calm and use good professional judgment when priorities change or challenging situations arise.

Most importantly, you will help ensure the needs, rights, safety, dignity, and quality of life of the people we support remain at the center of everything we do.

To be considered for this position, you must have a high school diploma or Equivalent (GED) and three (3) years of experience providing direct care to special populations and two (2) years of supervisory experience for a total of five (5) years.

This position requires you to be onsite at Life Skills and Transition Center in Grafton, North Dakota.
