Badlands Behavioral Health Clinic - Dickinson, ND - Director of Nursing
Be part of the solution to the behavioral health crisis. As a team member for ND Department of Health & Human Services, you will ensure the most vulnerable have access to a high-quality healthcare system in which prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover.
As the Director of Nursing, you will provide leadership and oversight to the psychiatry unit at the local Behavioral Health Clinic. In partnership with the Center's Medical Director, you will ensure adherence to quality-of-care practices and policies and procedures. You will assist with hiring, training, and providing regular supervision to staff members of the unit. You will collaborate with behavioral health teams and community partners to ensure the needs of the individual and agency are met.
To thrive in this position, you will need to be familiar with state regulations and on-site pharmacy expectations. Previous supervisory experience is helpful, as is experience teaching individuals how to independently manage their medication and healthcare.
To be considered for the Director of Nursing position, you are required to have a licensure as a Registered Nurse by the North Dakota Board of Nursing and at least 2 years of behavioral health nursing experience. Preference will be given to applicants with lead work or supervisory experience.
This position requires a valid driver's license and successful completion of the assigned defensive driving course during new-hire orientation.
