Children and Family Services - Bismarck, ND - Administrative Assistant
As our Administrative Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for people looking to get in contact with someone from Children and Family Services. You will assist in coordinating meetings and with processing background checks.
- You will have to set up, maintain and file adoption case files on a regular basis.
- You will need to review incoming mail and determine the priority status and who needs to receive it.
- You will need to learn the internal phone directory to assist in directing phone calls that may not be related to your area.
- You will be assisting in making hotel reservations, state vehicle reservations, scheduling conference calls upon request.
To Thrive in this position, you should be able to handle difficult situations with knowing you are the first person people talk to. You should be a self-starter and quick learner but able to take direction when needed. You need to listen to the person on the phone while remaining calm in what could be a frustrating situation for them. You will need to be a team player and lean in and help when other administrative staff are away. You will be a key player in assisting to make Children and Family Services run smoothly.
To be considered for this position, you are required to have a high school diploma or GED AND Three (3) years of experience in an office setting completing similar duties related to the job.
