Job Overview
ND Global Consulting Services, Inc. (NDGCS) is seeking an experienced Information Technology Project Manager to support a public sector child support program modernization initiative. This role will lead and coordinate complex IT projects involving system transformation, business and technical requirements gathering, stakeholder collaboration, project governance, and implementation oversight.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing enterprise IT projects, working across business and technical teams, and driving projects from planning through execution. Experience with government programs, human services systems, or child support modernization is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of information system transformation projects
- Provide project management support for large-scale enterprise initiatives and smaller related projects
- Work with product owners, subject matter experts, scrum teams, vendors, and stakeholders to define business and technical requirements
- Develop project plans, timelines, deliverables, and governance structures
- Monitor project scope, schedule, risks, issues, dependencies, and budget alignment
- Coordinate internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful delivery
- Ensure project controls, reporting, and governance processes are in place and followed
- Support strategic planning related to enterprise IT implementations
- Facilitate communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Mentor internal personnel and support knowledge transfer where needed
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as an IT Project Manager leading complex technology initiatives
- Strong experience managing full project lifecycles from planning through implementation
- Knowledge of project governance, risk management, and stakeholder coordination
- Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and DevOps
- Ability to define and manage business and technical requirements
- Strong communication, leadership, and coordination skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP certification or equivalent project management experience
- Experience with government IT projects
- Experience supporting human services, child support, or public sector system modernization
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams, vendors, and implementation partners
- Familiarity with enterprise application transformation initiatives
Work Location
- This is a remote position
- Candidate must be available to travel to Pierre, South Dakota on an as-needed basis
Compensation
- Travel, if required, will be handled separately in accordance with project requirements
