What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Director position at NCE Soccer?
Company Description
NCE Soccer (National Center of Excellence) is a youth soccer development organization committed to providing professional-standard coaching and long-term player development opportunities across the United States. Founded by former Manchester United professional John Curtis, NCE Soccer mirrors the structured environments of top European academies, integrating high-performance training, elite tournaments, and clear progression pathways. At NCE, we group by ability rather than age, ensuring every session replicates high-pressure game decisions. We are expanding across the U.S. to provide an environment where the work actually moves players forward. We aren't a club, and we refuse to settle for the status quo. NCE is currently expanding across the United States to close the gap between what youth soccer is and what it should be.
Note on Location
While our immediate priority markets include Boston, Washington D.C., Charlotte, and Atlanta, NCE is actively evaluating opportunities in Texas, the Pacific Northwest, the Midwest, and Southern California.
We are accepting applications from qualified leaders across the United States. If you are based outside our priority cities but believe your market is underserved by the current youth system, we want to hear from you. We hire the person first and build the region around elite leadership.
Role Description
This is a Full-Time Regional Director role. We are currently identifying leadership for our priority expansion markets: Boston, Washington D.C., Charlotte, and Atlanta.
This is an operational and developmental leadership role, not a head coaching position with a different title. As a Regional Director, you are the architect of the NCE standard in your city. You will be responsible for:
- Establishing and Leading: Launching high-performance training centers from the ground up within a proven framework.
- Coaching Excellence: Building and managing a network of aligned, high-level coaches who adhere to the NCE curriculum.
- Community & Recruitment: Fostering relationships with families and local clubs who are seeking a higher standard of development.
- Operational Oversight: Managing regional schedules, event logistics, and ensuring the NCE mission is executed with professional precision.
Qualifications
- The Credentials: You hold UEFA or USSF (U.S. Soccer Federation) licenses and have significant experience coaching in structured, high-performance environments.
- The Mindset: You are "actively frustrated" with the current U.S. youth soccer landscape and are looking for an environment that values player progression over club revenue.
- Leadership & Management: Proven ability to lead a team of professionals, manage complex schedules, and maintain elite standards across multiple sites.
- Entrepreneurial Drive: You possess the initiative to build a region from the earliest stages, treating the territory with the ownership and care of a founder.
- Technical Expertise: A deep understanding of tactical decision-making and long-term athletic development—you coach the player, not just the session.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to articulate the "NCE Difference" to parents, players, and stakeholders.
- Logistics: Valid driver’s license and the willingness to travel regionally to oversee various training centers.
If you have the work ethic and individual qualities necessary to take advantage of this opportunity, you may apply directly via LinkedIn or via email. Please send your Resume and a Cover Letter to careers@ncesoccer.com. Please use "NCE Regional Director Candidate" in your email's subject line.
