Job Description/Daily Responsibilities: Full-time Bookkeeper and Payroll Coordinator in Corte Madera, CA This is a full-time, in office position. We offer health and retirement benefits after 30 days of employment. Compensation depends on experience.
Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a professional with a friendly attitude and the ability to multitask to serve as the Bookkeeping and Payroll Coordinator for our portfolio of bookkeeping and payroll clients. We currently have 30 clients that we provide bookkeeping and payroll services for including categorization of transactions, bank reconciliations and payroll processing. Our portfolio primarily includes S-Corps with 1-2 employees.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the workflow of bookkeeping and payroll services for assigned accounts, using our company office tools software prioritizing the work completion and communicating with our clients in a timely manner
- Produce and review reports, such as balance sheets (costs compared with income), income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Check for accuracy in figures, journal entries, financial statements and provide corrections when necessary
- Reconcile clients bookkeeping to their bank, credit card or payroll statements
- Assist tax preparer providing year-end books and reconciling books to tax return
- Prepare or update charts of accounts to properly comply with entities business
- Prepare payroll quarterly and annual tax returns in addition to 1099s
- Run payroll as directed by the company/client

Job Skills & Qualifications:
- 3 years bookkeeping and ability to prioritize workflow responsibilities
- QuickBooks online/desktop, Microsoft Office/Excel, Google Docs, Payroll applications
- Experience with Netsuite would be valued.
- Can anticipate problems, provide solutions and develop strategies to avoid future issues
- Truly enjoy helping people - with patience and wit!
Pay: $38.00 - $40.00 per hour
