Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our multi-specialty healthcare team. Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history-taking, physical examinations, and vital signs monitoring.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses across a broad spectrum of medical conditions, including infectious diseases, geriatrics, and emergency cases.
- Administer injections, venipuncture, and other medical procedures following proper protocols and safety standards.
- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.
- Provide patient education on disease prevention, medication management, lifestyle modifications, and post-acute care plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in outpatient clinics.
- Participate in telehealth consultations to extend care access remotely while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
- Assist in emergency situations utilizing Basic Life Support (BLS) skills; respond swiftly to urgent patient needs within Level I or Level II trauma center environments.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medication administration practices to ensure safe patient care.
- Support infection control protocols and adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy.
Skills
- Extensive background in infectious disease care, medical-surgical units, outpatient clinics, or urgent care settings.
- Strong proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for accurate medical documentation and record keeping.
- Skilled in IV insertion, venipuncture, injection administration, vital signs assessment, and medication management.
- Knowledge of physiology and anatomy principles essential for effective patient assessment and treatment planning.
- Excellent communication skills for educating patients effectively across diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatric patients.
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments such as trauma centers or post-acute care facilities.
- Experience with telehealth platforms to deliver remote patient care while ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams including hospitalists, ICU staff, emergency teams, and outpatient providers.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in internal medicine, urgent care practices, infectious diseases, and sub-acute care specialties.
