```Duties```
- Provide services to cardiology patients - adults, and geriatric patients
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and medical assessments
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
- Prescribe medications and treatments based on patient needs
- Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and referrals
```Experience```
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner preferred
- Experience in Cardiology is highly desirable
- Proficiency in medical terminology and documentation
Qualifications:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Louisiana
- Master's degree in Nursing with specialization as a Family Nurse Practitioner
- Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner by a recognized certifying body (e.g., AANP, ANCC)
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
Skills:
- Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and treating a wide range of acute and chronic conditions across the lifespan
- Ability to manage complex medical cases with multiple comorbidities
- Competent in utilizing electronic health record systems for documentation and communication purposes
- Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
