What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Vocational Nurse position at Nazareth House San Diego?
Assisted Living Facility for the Elderly in San Diego, CA is currently hiring a LVN.
Residents that live at Nazareth House range from being completely independent to needing maximum assistance with activities of daily living. You would be supervising any caregivers and CNA's working during your shift.
Possible shift range from the morning shift, evening shift, and graveyard shift. Preference will be given to applicants who's availability allows them to work during any of these 3 shifts.
Job Summary
- The primary purpose of your job position is to provide direct nursing care to the residents, and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants.
- Meet with your assigned nursing staff, as well as support personnel, in planning the shifts’ services, programs, and activities.
- Make written and oral reports/recommendations concerning the activities of your shift as required.
- Receive telephone orders from physicians and record on the Physicians’ Order Form.
- Complete and file required record keeping forms/charts upon the resident’s admission, transfer, and/or discharge.
- Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician.

Pay: $37.00 - $38.00 per hour
