Requirements:
Must have an active NY RN license in hand—no exceptions
Specialty: MS/Tele
Schedule: 4×12-hour night shifts
Weekends: Every other weekend
First-time travelers: Accepted
Required Certifications: Chemotherapy Certification, ACLS, BLS
Must be proficient in Epic
Patient Care & Unit Details
Med/Surg Telemetry Unit:
Patient ratio: 1:5 to 1:7
26-bed unit
Provides care for:
Post-PCI
Pacemakers
AICDs
Post-MI
Cardiac medication therapies
Hematology/Oncology Unit:
36-bed fast-paced, high-acuity unit
Includes developing Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) program
Patient population:
Active chemotherapy
Count recovery
Side effects of treatment
Medical admissions with underlying cancer diagnoses
Staff will have opportunity for MICU cross-training to support the BMT program
Described as a cohesive, fun, team-oriented environment
