Job Title: X-Ray Technologist
Location: Eureka, CA
Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 5 x 8-Hour Shifts | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay: $48/hr - $50/hr (Based on Experience)
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a CA X-Ray Technologist for an exciting Local or Travel job in Eureka, CA.
Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
Produce high-quality images while maintaining radiation safety standards.
Operate radiographic and fluoroscopy equipment safely and efficiently.
Prepare and position patients appropriately for imaging procedures.
Verify patient identity and explain procedures to ensure patient comfort and cooperation.
Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in Epic.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and radiation safety guidelines.
Float to like units as needed based on departmental staffing requirements.
Participate in on-call coverage as assigned.
Maintain equipment functionality and report any equipment concerns promptly.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of X-Ray Technologist experience.
Active California Radiologic Technologist License.
Fluoroscopy Permit/Certification.
ARRT (R) Certification.
Current BLS Certification.
Strong knowledge of diagnostic radiography procedures.
Experience with fluoroscopy procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
Familiarity with Epic charting systems.
Experience in an acute care hospital setting.
Strong patient care, communication, and teamwork skills.
