Job Title: ESL Instructor (TESOL Certified)

Location: Wallula, WA

Shift: Tuesday & Thursday, 2:30 PM – 5:00 PM

Hours: 7–15 hours per week

Pay Rate: $40/hour (W2)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated ESL Instructor to deliver high-quality English language instruction to adult learners. The ideal candidate will have strong teaching skills, the ability to engage diverse learners, and experience in ESL or English for Specific Purposes (ESP) instruction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver 6–10 instructional hours per week teaching ESL and/or ESP courses

• Develop and prepare instructional materials aligned with course objectives

• Attend faculty meetings, trainings, and partner meetings

• Participate in recruitment events and program-related activities

• Maintain accurate program records, administer assessments, and complete grading as required

Required Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of ESL teaching strategies, including grammar, reading, writing, and speaking/listening skills

• Demonstrated fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field

• TESOL certification

• Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching adult ESL learners

• Strong classroom management, organizational, and planning skills

• Ability to provide clear and effective instruction

• Proficiency in a second language

• Experience teaching English for Specific Purposes (ESP) (e.g., Business, Engineering, IT, etc.)

• Cross-cultural sensitivity and awareness

• Strong technology skills and experience integrating tech into instruction

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
