Shift & Schedule: Night Shift - 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Float Requirements:
- Will float between ICU and CVICU
- May float to Med/Surg Tele units based on patient census and operational needs
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Hyannis, Massachusetts. This role is ideal for a highly skilled critical care nurse who thrives in a fast-paced hospital setting and is comfortable working across multiple high-acuity units.
The RN will deliver comprehensive patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, while maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in ICU and CVICU settings
- Perform continuous patient monitoring, including hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
- Administer medications and evaluate patient responses to treatment
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Support and guide nursing staff and ancillary personnel as needed
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols
- Float to ICU, CVICU, and Med/Surg Tele units based on facility needs
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a dynamic environment
- Participate in patient education, discharge planning, and quality improvement initiatives
Minimum Requirements
- Prior Critical Care experience required
- CVICU experience required
- Strong skills in hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator care preferred
- Ability to work independently in a high-acuity environment
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
Licensure & Certifications
- Active RN License – Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Certification
- CCHC Pharmacology Exam
- CCHC Basic Arrhythmia Exam
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
- CCRN Certification
- TCAR Certification
- De-escalation Certification
- Experience with intracranial pressure monitoring
