Job Title: Travel LVN/LPN – Long-Term Care
Location: Seward, AK 99664
Contract Length: 13 or 26 Weeks (Traveler’s Choice)
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Travel LVN/LPN for a long-term care (LTC) assignment. The ideal candidate will have prior travel experience and a strong background in LTC, delivering high-quality patient care in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
Schedule:
- Option 1: 3 × 12-hour shifts/week (36 hours/week)
- Option 2: 4 × 12-hour shifts/week
- Shift Options:
- Days: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- Candidates will typically be assigned to either day or night shifts based on facility needs (no routine rotation)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in a long-term care setting
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team
- Maintain accurate patient documentation
- Support care planning and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Float within scope of practice as required
Required Qualifications:
- Active Alaska LVN/LPN license
- Minimum 1 year of experience
- Prior travel experience (Required)
- Long-Term Care (LTC) experience (Required)
- BLS Certification
- Must obtain Alaska Food Worker Certification during orientation (fee applies)
Work Requirements:
- First-time travelers will not be considered
- Must be willing to float within scope if needed
Guaranteed Hours:
- 60 hours guaranteed every 2 weeks
- Facility may cancel up to one 12-hour shift per 2-week period
Additional Benefits:
Facility-Provided Vehicle:
- Available up to 72 hours before contract start and must be returned within 24 hours after contract end
- Usage limited to approximately a 30-mile radius from the facility
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance required
- Traveler responsible for fuel and returning the vehicle clean
- Tire chains available at an additional cost
