- Day Shift: 07:00 AM – 07:30 PM
- Night Shift: 07:00 PM – 07:30 AM
- Rotating Day/Night shifts (based on facility needs)
Job Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Stepdown Registered Nurse (Stepdown RN) / Progressive Care Unit RN (PCU RN) to join a high-acuity float pool team. This role involves caring for patients requiring intermediate-level care and may include floating to multiple units with similar patient populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality nursing care to stepdown/progressive care patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to clinical changes
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments
- Perform detailed patient assessments and care planning
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
- Float to assigned units as needed while maintaining quality care standards
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with hospital protocols
Required Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 18 months of recent Stepdown experience
- Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in specialty prior to travel
- Strong cardiac monitoring and clinical assessment skills
- Ability to adapt to multiple units and patient populations
Certifications & Licensure:
- Active Ohio RN License or Compact License – Required
- BLS (AHA or equivalent) – Required
- ACLS – Required
- NIHSS – Required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in PCU / Progressive Care settings
