Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Neuro Stepdown / Progressive Care to provide high-quality care for patients transitioning from intensive neurological care. The ideal candidate will have strong neuro assessment skills and the ability to manage complex patient conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to neurological stepdown patients
- Perform detailed neurological assessments and monitor for changes in condition
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage telemetry monitoring
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Respond promptly to neurological and medical emergencies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Patient Population
- Adult Neuro Stepdown / Progressive Care patients
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 18 months of recent Neuro Stepdown experience
- Minimum 18 months of permanent RN experience in specialty prior to travel assignments
- Active RN License (Ohio or Compact State)
- BLS (AHA or equivalent) – Required
- ACLS – Required
- NIHSS Certification – Required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in PCU / Progressive Care settings
