Job Summary
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education (SPED) Teacher Assistant to support students in a special education classroom setting, with a primary focus on students with autism. This role involves working closely with the lead teacher to provide individualized academic and behavioral support in a structured, inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the lead teacher in planning and delivering instructional activities tailored to students with autism and other special needs.
Provide one-on-one and small group support to reinforce learning objectives.
Support implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and classroom modifications.
Help manage classroom routines, transitions, and behavior support strategies.
Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
Track and document student progress and assist with communication updates as needed.
Qualifications
Prior experience working with students with autism or developmental disabilities preferred.
Strong ability to adapt instructional strategies to meet individual student needs.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Demonstrated patience, empathy, and commitment to supporting diverse learners.
