Position Summary
The RN – Primary Care provides direct nursing care in an outpatient clinic setting, supporting providers and clinical staff to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care. This role involves clinical responsibilities, care coordination, and operational support within a fast-paced environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Care & Patient Support
- Provide direct patient care in an outpatient clinic setting
- Assist providers and clinic staff with patient care delivery
- Perform nursing duties including assessments, treatments, and documentation
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all patient care activities
- Support daily clinic operations, including patient flow and front desk coordination
- Oversee opening and closing of clinic activities
- Maintain medication inventory and clinic supplies
- Ensure proper functioning of point-of-care testing and quality controls
- Communicate effectively with providers, staff, and other departments
- Anticipate provider and patient needs to maintain smooth workflow
- Serve as a resource for patients and team members
- Support team-based care delivery
- Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines
- Participate in required training, competencies, and staff meetings
- Report safety concerns, equipment issues, and clinical risks
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards
QualificationsEducation
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Minimum 1 year of acute care experience preferred
- Active, unrestricted RN license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Completion of required clinical and high-risk competencies within designated timeframe
