Job Title: RN - Medical/Surgical Telemetry
Location: Hyannis, MA
Job Type: Contract
Shift: 36 hours/week – 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), every other weekend
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking RN - Medical/Surgical Telemetry for an exciting Travel or Local job in Hyannis, MA.
Responsibilities:
- Provide safe and effective patient care using the nursing process
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document care accurately
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
- Monitor patient responses to medications and treatments
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities when assigned
- Utilize electronic medical record and nursing informatics systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
- Maintain patient safety, confidentiality, and quality standards
- Participate in ongoing professional development
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Active RN license in Massachusetts
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Must pass facility Pharmacology and Basic Arrhythmia exams prior to start
- Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg experience in an acute care setting
- Telemetry experience required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required
Preferred:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Experience in cardiac patient management
- PCI/Cardiac Cath experience
- Post-cardiac surgery or post-cath care experience
- Hemodialysis, dialysis, or procedural sedation experience (if applicable to assigned unit)
- Oncology, stroke, or orthopedic experience (based on unit assignment)
