Position Title: Registered Nurse – Wound Care
Location: Apple Valley, CA
Pay Rate (Local): $46.00 – $56.00 per hour
Pay Rate (Travel): $60.00 – $70.00 per hour
Weekly Hours: 36 hours
Schedule: Day Shift – 3x12 hours (11:00 AM – 11:30 PM) | Block scheduling available
Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (with strong possibility of extension)
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled Wound Care Registered Nurse for an acute care hospital setting. This role focuses on providing specialized wound assessment, treatment, and ongoing management for patients with acute and chronic wound conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive wound assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Provide advanced wound care treatments including debridement and wound VAC therapy
- Manage pressure ulcers, venous ulcers, arterial wounds, and post-surgical wounds
- Apply and manage appropriate wound dressings and therapeutic interventions
- Educate patients and families on wound care management and prevention strategies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Monitor, document, and update patient progress using Epic EMR
- Follow strict infection control protocols and patient safety standards
- Float to other units as needed to support wound care needs across the facility
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hospital nursing experience (required)
- Strong, hands-on wound care experience (mandatory requirement)
- Experience with wound VAC therapy (required)
- Ability to manage complex wound cases in an acute care setting
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
Licensure & Certifications
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License (required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (required)
- Wound Care Certification or WOCN Certification (required)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
