Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric Emergency Room (Peds ER)
Location: Syracuse, NY 13210
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Night Shift – 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RN) to join a high-acuity Pediatric Emergency Department for night shifts. This role is ideal for clinicians with strong pediatric emergency experience who thrive in fast-paced environments and are confident in triage and critical care situations. Candidates with Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience are highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a Pediatric Emergency setting
- Perform comprehensive assessments and triage of pediatric patients
- Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to acute changes
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Accurately document care using EMR systems (EPIC preferred)
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain patient safety and adhere to clinical protocols
- Manage emergency situations with minimal supervision
- Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as required
Qualifications
- Active New York State RN License
- Current BLS Certification (or eligible for recertification)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Pediatric Emergency Room experience (within the last 2 years)
- Must have primary experience in a dedicated Pediatric ER (adult-only or mixed ER experience not accepted)
- Strong triage skills with formal training required
- Experience in Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Centers preferred
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
