Location: Cleveland, Ohio
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift Schedule: Rotating Day/Night – 3x12 Hour Shifts
Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM / 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Holiday Requirement: Every Other Holiday
Job Summary
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Med Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel contract in a fast-paced acute care environment. The RN will provide high-quality patient care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support positive patient outcomes. Candidates must be comfortable floating to similar patient care units as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to Med/Surg and Telemetry patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies per physician orders
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and charting
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and healthcare staff to coordinate patient care
- Follow facility protocols related to patient safety, infection prevention, and quality standards
- Float to comparable units based on staffing needs
Requirements
- Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
- Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in specialty prior to travel assignments required
- Active Ohio RN License or Compact RN License required
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- ACLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Must successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition and medication testing during orientation
- Must be willing to work rotating shifts and every other holiday
