Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg Telemetry

Location: Plainview, Texas
Shift: Night Shift – 3x12-Hour Shifts
Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) with prior travel and charge nurse experience for an acute care hospital assignment in Plainview, Texas. This role requires a highly skilled RN capable of functioning independently in a fast-paced acute care environment while also assuming Charge Nurse responsibilities when needed.

The ideal candidate will possess strong Med/Surg Telemetry skills, leadership abilities, and experience caring for patients across a broad range of acuity levels and age groups.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for Med/Surg Telemetry patients
• Monitor patient conditions and cardiac telemetry
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate patient documentation within the EMR system
• Function independently as a staff nurse with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as needed
• Oversee operational workflow for the Acute Care Services Department
• Support coordination between Medical Surgical and ICU departments
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and regulatory guidelines

Requirements

• Active RN License required
• Current BLS Certification required
• Current ACLS Certification required
• Current PALS Certification required
• Prior Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Prior Charge Nurse experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Strong clinical competency across multiple patient populations and acuity levels
• Ability to independently manage charge responsibilities
