Location: Hackensack, NJ
Shift: Day Shift – 4x10 Hours (9:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to work in a Combined Procedural Unit (CPU) supporting ICU, Pre-Operative, and PACU functions. The ideal candidate will be a hybrid nurse capable of working across multiple high-acuity areas, delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on individual needs
- Assist physicians during procedures and patient care activities
- Provide care across ICU, Pre-Op, and PACU settings
- Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and monitor patient responses
- Manage patient flow through procedural and recovery phases
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Advocate for evidence-based practices and high-quality care delivery
- Ensure patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols
Required Qualifications:
- Active RN License (state or compact)
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN)
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in:
- Critical Care (ICU)
- Pre-Operative
- PACU / Recovery
- Strong Telemetry experience (must be telemetry certified)
- Experience in an acute care hospital setting
Required Certifications:
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- PALS (AHA)
- Telemetry Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- 3 years of PACU experience
- Experience working in hybrid or cross-functional procedural units
