Shift: Night Shift (3 x 12-hour shifts)
Schedule: 36 hours/week (holiday coverage required)
Guaranteed Hours: Not Guaranteed
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct and indirect patient care in an inpatient behavioral health setting. The RN will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to support patients with psychiatric conditions, including mood disorders and attention-related conditions, while ensuring a safe, therapeutic, and structured environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an inpatient behavioral health unit
- Administer medications and provide patient education
- Monitor patient behavior and ensure safety protocols are followed
- Document patient care accurately in Epic EMR
- Facilitate and participate in patient education and group therapy sessions
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Float to Chemical Dependency/Detox units as needed
- Maintain professional boundaries and manage high-stress clinical situations
- Support de-escalation and crisis intervention as required
Required Qualifications
- Active Maine Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (3 years preferred)
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN required)
- BLS/BCLS certification (required)
- CPI certification (required)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to function effectively in high-stress behavioral health environments
Preferred Experience
- Prior psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience
- Experience in inpatient mental health or detox settings
- Familiarity with Epic EMR system
