Registered Nurse – Long Term Care (LTC)Location: Wrangell, AlaskaSchedule: Full-Time | Night ShiftEmployment Type: PermanentCompensation & BenefitsBase Salary: $99,000 – $128,000 annuallyGeographic Differential: $25,000 annually (in addition to base salary)Sign-On Bonus: $25,000 (for qualified candidates)Relocation Assistance: Up to $10,000 (for qualified candidates)Full-time night shift positionAdditional mileage reimbursement, bonuses beyond listed sign-on, and expense coverage are not includedPosition SummaryThe Long-Term Care Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating and delivering comprehensive nursing care to residents with complex medical, neurological, and chronic health conditions. This role includes assessment, medication administration, care planning, resident and family education, and leadership during assigned shifts.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive nursing assessments through observation, interviews, and clinical data reviewDevelop, implement, and evaluate individualized resident care plansAdminister medications and treatments in accordance with clinical guidelines and age-specific considerationsMonitor residents for changes in condition and respond promptly to urgent or emergent situationsProvide education to residents, families, and community members regarding care plans and disease managementAccurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health recordCollaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate careParticipate in care conferences, staff meetings, and quality improvement initiativesProvide leadership and guidance to CNAs, LPNs, and support staffServe as Charge Nurse when neededSupport staff orientation, training, and competency validationEducation & Licensure RequirementsGraduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN, ADN, or Diploma in Nursing accepted)Active Alaska Registered Nurse license required (must obtain prior to start date if hired)Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart AssociationCompletion of required clinical and high-risk competencies within designated timelinesExperience RequirementsMinimum 1–2 years of nursing experience preferredExperience in long-term care, geriatric nursing, or chronic disease management strongly preferredProfessional Skills & QualificationsStrong clinical assessment and care planning skillsKnowledge of pharmacology, medication administration, and potential side effectsAbility to recognize and respond to emergency symptomsExcellent communication and documentation skillsStrong teamwork and leadership abilitiesAbility to manage complex resident care situations effectivelyFor more details contact at pmohanty@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-806-4227.About Navitas Healthcare, LLC certified WBENC and one of the fastest-growing healthcare staffing firms in the US providing Medical, Clinical and Non-Clinical services to numerous hospitals.
