Location: Cape Coral, FL
Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)
Shift: 12-Hour Days (07:00 AM – 07:30 PM) Call
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise in maternal and newborn care and be comfortable managing both laboring patients and postpartum assignments in a dynamic environment.
Unit Details:
- 24-bed LDRP unit
- OB Maternal Level 2 | Nursery Level 1
Patient Ratios:
- Labor & Delivery: 1–2:1
- Postpartum: 3–4:1
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care across labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery
- Assist with deliveries and provide immediate newborn care
- Manage postpartum recovery and patient education
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation in EMR
Call Requirement:
- 12 hours of call per calendar month
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of LDRP experience
- Active RN license (state-specific or compact as applicable)
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications (required)
- Experience with Epic EMR
- Degree accreditation must be on profile or candidate must have 5 years of experience
