Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced Emergency Department serving both adult and pediatric populations. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, the ability to work under pressure, and prior travel experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care in a high-acuity Emergency Department
• Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care effectively
• Manage patients with a wide range of conditions including:
  • Trauma, CVA (stroke), head injuries
  • Respiratory distress and ventilated patients
• Administer medications, including IV vasopressors and blood products
• Perform and assist with:
  • IV starts and maintenance
  • Phlebotomy
  • Procedural sedation
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms (dysrhythmias)
• Manage BiPAP/CPAP and ventilator support
• Follow infection control protocols including isolation precautions and PPE
• Perform triage and prioritize patient care needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams using structured communication tools

Required Qualifications:

• Active New York RN License (must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Prior travel experience required
• Certifications:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• Strong experience with:
  • Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
  • Emergency care procedures and critical patient management

Preferred Qualifications:

• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
• Experience in combined adult and pediatric ER settings
