- Shift Timing: 07:00 AM – 03:00 PM (Flexible between 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
- Schedule: 5 Days per Week
- Work Schedule: No weekends, no on-call, no block scheduling
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and motivated Registered Dietitian for a 13-week travel assignment in an inpatient acute care setting at a Level II trauma and teaching hospital. This role focuses on delivering high-quality medical nutrition therapy to adult inpatient populations across multiple care units.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for adult inpatients
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans
- Perform enteral and parenteral nutrition order writing
- Adjust nutrition interventions based on patient progress and lab results
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams including physicians and nursing staff
- Accurately document all interventions in the Epic EMR system
- Manage a daily caseload of approximately 8–10 patients
- Float between assigned units as required
- Ensure adherence to clinical nutrition standards and regulatory guidelines
- Participate in patient care rounds and interdisciplinary meetings
- Provide nutrition education to patients and their families
Qualifications
- Active Washington State Dietitian License (Required)
- Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential (Required)
- Recent inpatient adult acute care experience (within the last 6 months)
- Strong experience with enteral and parenteral nutrition support
- Proficiency in Epic EMR system
- Ability to work across multiple units/sites as needed
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage a structured inpatient caseload efficiently
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field
