Job Summary
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a Registered Dietitian to provide inpatient clinical nutrition care, patient education, and diet management in an acute care hospital setting. The role focuses on assessing nutritional needs, monitoring food-drug interactions, and coordinating care with physicians and clinical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and screen patients for nutritional risk and dietary needs
- Provide nutrition education and document patient understanding
- Monitor and document food-drug interactions
- Consult with physicians for diet modification plans
- Collect and interpret patient history, labs, and clinical data
- Modify patient meal plans based on clinical requirements
- Provide follow-up nutritional care and reassessment
- Maintain accurate documentation in patient records
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field
- Minimum 1–2 years of inpatient clinical experience (2 preferred)
- Registered Dietitian (CDR certification required)
- New York State Dietitian-Nutritionist certification (if applicable)
- Strong clinical assessment and patient communication skills
- Ability to work in acute hospital environment
- Weekend and holiday availability required
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nutrition or Dietetics
- CDCES (Diabetes Educator) or CNSC certification preferred
- AHA BLS certification preferred
- Spanish language skills a plus
